Thanks for the memories. I spent time camping on the Slabs, as far out as I could get to be away from the generator noise.

Spring along the Sea is smelly and mass flies.

Great post about a place most people will never experience.

The big Quartzsite event is a two-edged sword. Fun to attend, but glad when it’s over and don’t spend so much money there. Enjoy the quiet of the desert.

It is So scary to see an RV burn in no time at all. Glad the people were out and am sorry to hear about their kitty.

When first RVing, I used to keep a photo of a burning RV on my fridge door to remind myself, “Do Not walk away from the stove!”

Yeah, I guess it depends on the time of day. We went early and had no problem with the traffic. A little slow on West Kuehn Rd. but not that bad. Beware the first exit and trying to turn in either direction. Truly a pain right now with the truck stop right there and only stop signs to control it.

I would like to rent a scooter this coming weekend (1 day). Where are you located? Do I need to reserve? I want to do the swap meet but recently had foot surgery and can’t walk very far.
